Project Overview
Health-related risks can significantly impact cotton farming communities, where smallholders rely on their own labour, making health potentially detrimental to the family unit’s economy.
This project aims to strengthen social and economic resilience among smallholder cotton farmers by improving access to affordable, quality healthcare facilitated through a farmer-centred digital platform that connects local healthcare providers. In collaboration with Farmer Producer Organisations (FPOs), the initiative will develop a sustainable health program that nurtures local ownership and deliver long-term solutions, ensuring farmers can get access to essential health services without financial strain.
