In 2016, ISEAL published a comprehensive review and synthesis of existing literature and evidence of the business benefits of using sustainability standards.

In 2022, ISEAL refreshed the research on this topic. The goal was to look for research and evidence published in the the six years prior to the first review report, analyse trends in the evidence and draw deeper learnings on what we can understand and say about the benefits that adopting standards can drive for businesses.
